Innovation and technology at Freeman Homes

While we may not yet be building with apple-reinforced concrete, we are dedicated to building for a better future. That’s why Freeman Homes keeps abreast of the most effective, efficient and sustainable methods and technology.

Let’s have a look at some of the most innovative elements that are part of our mission:

Timber Frames

Using timber frames is a thermal-efficient and sustainable way of building. It is a natural insulator and a dry construction method, which helps to reduce plaster shrinkage and therefore eliminate cracking of plasterboard. It has the lowest CO₂ cost of any commercially-available building material, exceeding current Building Regulation requirements.

Supaflo Concrete

An eco-friendly, self-compacting and self-levelling building solution that is highly efficient.

Renewable heating

Freeman Homes are now including air-to-water heat pump technology as a low-carbon alternative to traditional gas boilers. With heating and hot water in the average UK home currently accounting for approximately 70% of its total energy consumption, Freeman Homes has recognised the long-term benefits this renewable technology will bring to customers seeking the most cost and energy efficient heating solutions possible.

High specification fixtures and fittings

All properties feature Freeman Homes’ signature specification, which provides all the necessary contemporary touches, and there are options to select eco-friendly technologies throughout our homes. One option is the Quooker tap, the ultimate must-have for kitchens. It’s stylish, time-saving and 60% more energy-efficient than other boiling water taps.
