Government gives housing market the green light

The government has confirmed that the housing market can restart once again, with experts expecting to see a surge in activity due to the pent-up demand within the industry.

Never coming to a complete standstill, the new-build homes market adapted quickly, embracing technology to change practices that allowed virtual viewings to continue safely, and supporting house moves into vacant properties where contracts had been exchanged, in line with government guidance. However, the new plan set out by the government to restart the entire market will now spark a more widespread revival across the sector.

Estate agents can now reopen and people can physically view homes where it is safe to do so. Removal companies and conveyancers can operate again, and surveyors and valuers can now also visit properties where social distancing can be observed.

At Freeman Homes, our sales team continue to operate remotely and you can contact us on 01594 543354 to arrange virtual viewings, book a socially-distanced appointment to physically view a property, or discuss your house move with us.
