Caitlin Design’s her Dream Home

Lucky Caitlin Lewis is the proud owner of a new Amazon Kindle after winning a competition to design their dream house.

Local property developer, Freeman Homes, launched a competition to local school students asking them to design their dream home, inspired by their latest flagship development, Woodland View in Mitcheldean.

Caitlin, a year 7 pupil at Dene Magna Academy in Mitcheldean, clinched the prize with her creative ideas for a contemporary 4 storey house complete with cinema, gym, games room and library. Her drawings included front and rear elevations with plenty of large windows and balconies, as well as imaginative floor plans featuring curved rooms and open plan living areas.

Woodland View, due for completion this Summer, is a development of 47 new homes, which boast a high quality specification set in a glorious location against a backdrop rich in natural beauty in the gateway to the Royal Forest of Dean. A mix of 2 to 5 bed, traditional and contemporary homes, the scheme has been designed to offer variety in both size and design. While some prefer traditional homes with individual rooms there is a growing trend towards more sociable open plan living. Woodland View offers both to satisfy customers whatever their preference.
